GRAFLUBE consists of a high strength copper alloy base, with a solid self-lubricating insert permanently buried within the matrix. With general oil lubricated bearings, the invasion of foreign particles, or the lack of lubrication will lead to a sudden rise in specific wear amount K, followed by seizure. In contrast GRAFLUBE bearings ae not sensitive to foreign particles or lack of lubrication. Their excellent reliability and safety has been verified by research and development, as well as experience over an extended period of time.
