Standard Safety Features
- The isolator is suitable for fault make - load break operation.
- The isolator may be padlocked in OFF position.
- The "closed" and "open" positions of the isolator
contacts are easily distinguished and visible.
- The "Closed" and "Open" positions are engraved as
a safety feature to avoid loss of labling
- The connection of the operating handle to the isolator is welded of sound
engineering design and is not declutchable from enclosure.
- The door of the enclosure is mechanically interlocked with the isolator
operating handle mechanism such that the door cannot be opened with the
isolator in the closed on position. An override/defeat mechanism is provided
to allow authorised personnel access to the isolator in the closed position.
- The door of the enclosure includes a transparent window to allow a clear
view of the contacts of the isolator. This window is constructed of a transparent
material either Laminated Safety Glass or Lexan as per customer requirements.
- Standard square or triangular key locks.
- The enclosure provides ample space to accommodate internal cabling and
termination of such cabling without obscuring the view of the isolator contact
through the window.
- All Metal Enclosures are supplied with an internal earthing bar is provided
and a flexible earthing conductor connecting the door to the body of the
enclosure.
Switch Characteristics and Selection
63 and 100 Amp Vistop - Full Load Break Isolating Switches with Visible Contact Indication
Conform to standards NF EN 60947-3, IEC 947-3, BS 5419, VDE 0660, NBN-C 63-408 Veritas approved.
Glass fibre reinforces polyester casing, self-extinguishing at 960°C (NF C 20-455).
